Keeping water flowing in the lone star state

Texas Water Trade was built to develop and implement “focused flow” strategies that would bring necessary freshwater to a starved Texas coast. After successfully piloting coastal freshwater projects, we saw a need and demand to advance inventive, adaptive water solutions in regions across the state experiencing unprecedented water stress due to drought and increased demand. Today, Texas Water Trade’s four core program areas work with landowners, community leaders, philanthropic capital and corporate partners to bring common sense water management strategies to areas in need across Texas.
